The hospital acquired a modern kitchen.

Since 2 February 2026, Remera-Rukoma District Hospital has acquired a modern kitchen that provides free meals to patients and their caregivers, while hospital staff and other people visiting the hospital will pay for their meals.

The kitchen has the capacity to provide 3,000 meals per day and was built through a partnership between Solid’ Africa, the Ministry of Health, EPR Rwanda, and other partners.

The initiative has been highly appreciated by patients and caregivers because it provides them with quality meals three times a day.
